a blogger's cry for html help.

Okay everyone, your tips and html's are now 100% welcome as I have spent WAY too many hours trying to figure out how to make my little pinterest, instagram, and "sponsor" images link to their respective pages.  What am I doing wrong here?

  1. Hmm... well... have you tried just adding an "image" gadget to our layout and then pasting the link into the "link" section of the "configure image" box?

Does that even make sense? It's hard to describe HTML in a comment. :) This is the simplest solution I can think of right now... If that doesn't work, I can try to tell you something else!

    1. Thanks Chalayn! That does make sense, except then they show up super far apart and stacked atop one another :/ I am still wrestling with the problem!

  2. I see that when I hover over your images, your links include your blog url. You have to make sure it is only linking to your Pinterest url or Instagram url. This is how your html should read. (Replace [ for <, etc.)

    [a href="http://link url"][img src="image url"][/a]

Hope it works! Let me know!

    1. Hey dani! Thanks for the advice. Apparently I had to get rid of the http and just do www for pinterest... but the instagram one is still a mystery. I have it entered exactly how you showed! (with <s and such). Still so confused though. I am especially confused about my sponsor arrow and why it won't go to my sponsor page. :/ the quandaries of bloggers.
